I went for years knowing I felt worse when I slept less or stressed more, but I had little idea that what I ate could be such a meaningful part of how I supported my health and showed up in everyday life.
I pushed through the challenges of becoming a doctor while living with chronic illness. I was determined to perform at the level my work, family, and goals required. Eventually, my body said no more.
In 2024, life-threatening complications from autoimmune disease became the final push I needed to fully commit to understanding how I could build a stronger, longer life. I had already begun to see the value of a food-first, holistic foundation, but that crisis changed what was at stake for me and my family.
Alongside the traditional care I needed, I began building a more intentional approach to food and routine. It was my entry into the world often described as food as medicine.
Once I saw that we had tools to supplement traditional medicine, I began sharing with others how food and lifestyle can help people build a stronger foundation for their bodies and lives in ways they may once have thought impossible. It is never too late to do better and begin living a life less defined by age, diagnosis, or old beliefs.
Today, I work as a physician, a mother, travel, and train for strength. I have more energy at almost 50 than I had in my early 20s.
My mission is to make it less complicated to implement changes that can give us strength and longevity into our 70s and beyond, even if we have a chronic illness.
